Bancroft Estate regeneration submitted for planning approval

Working for the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, we have submitted a planning application for two new buildings on the Bancroft Estate in Bethnal Green, providing 33 new homes and a community facility. Find out more here.

New homes on a garage site in Peckham

Working with the London Borough of Southwark, we have submitted a planning application for five new homes on a redundant garage site in Peckham. Our design repairs the original street pattern. Decorative elements and details within the brickwork add interest to the façade. Click here for more information.

Finalists in modular housing competition

We are delighted to be shortlisted as one of the finalists in a modular housing competition run by the Bristol Housing Festival and Trinity College Bristol. See our designs for new student accommodation at the college here. We look forward to the next stage of the competition in the Autumn.

Refurbishment and extension of Abercorn House approved

FBM Architects have secured planning consent for alterations to Abercorn House, Hammersmith. The retrofit and extension includes the enclosure of an existing courtyard to create a new café at the heart of the building, which provides short-stay visitor accommodation

FBM secure approval for the refurbishment of part of Lasdun’s Teaching Wall at UEA

Fraser Brown MacKenna Architects have just secured planning approval and listed building consent for the refurbishment and extension of Building 6 of Denys Lasdun’s Grade II listed Teaching Wall at the University of East Anglia. The refurbished space will provide a home for the new Productivity East facility, part of the School of Engineering.

Light at the end of the tunnel?

The news, in London at least, seems to suggest some light at the end of the tunnel. We are very grateful to all our clients and colleagues for adapting to new ways of working, with virtual meetings, consultation exhibitions and online planning committees, which have allowed projects to continue during the lockdown.
