We are delighted that our vibrant new mixed-use development at Pembury Circus on the Pembury Estate in Hackney for Peabody and Bellway Homes is among the finalists of this year’s Planning and Placemaking Awards. The development, which replaced an under-utilised and unsafe part of the neighbourhood with 268 new homes, has been shortlisted in the Regeneration and the London Regional categories.

Innovative retrofit of a 10,500sqm building shortlisted in the RICS Awards

Fraser Brown MacKenna’s retrofit of the Cockcroft Building at the University of Brighton has been shortlisted in the RICS South East Design Innovation Awards. In repurposing the Cockcroft Building at the University of Brighton, one of the largest retrofits of an occupied academic building in the UK, Fraser Brown MacKenna Architects were tasked with transforming a building designed in the atomic age into a research environment fit for the information age.

Planning approval for student village in Coventry

Fraser Brown MacKenna Architects have secured planning consent for a new student village on a gateway site close to Coventry University’s Priory Street Campus. The 10,690sqm building includes three towers, which complete a gap in a ‘necklace’ of taller buildings located around the City Ring Road.
