FBM Architects were appointed as executive architects for a major PBSA project in one of Wembley’smain streets that is a key part of the Wembley Area Action Plan, once of the country’s largest regeneration projects.
A total of 1000 student rooms are created by the by Regal London’s development across two buildings framing a public park. These new student homes on Wembley High Road play a decisive role inthe creation of a greener and more diverse public realm, viewed as an alternative to the current busy thoroughfare. High Road Wembley is a cornerstone of an emerging residential quarter prompted by a growing working population, increased economic activity, and excellent transport connectivity
Both buildings incorporate a range of study room typologies that offer individual studio rooms, cluster apartments, and dual-aspect wheelchair adaptable rooms. Ground floors are activated with a variety of amenity areas and communal spaces,
the lower levels of the both buildings are designed to merge with the activity of the newly proposed public park.Both buildings are targeting BREEAM Excellent, WELL Platinum, Wired Score Platinum, and Secure by Design Silver.
High Road Wembley was one of the first major projects to be submitted to the new Gateway 2 process for building regulations approval. FBM were Principal Designer responsible for navigating the new regime, and led coordination of a comprehensive technical submission to the regulator
