The Mixed Use Development is part of a wider redevelopment strategy for the area. The masterplan is divided into three sites, providing approximately 1,860 new homes and will also provide employment through commercial premises within the scheme. The three sites will be permeable and are connected by green pedestrian links that enhance accessibility to the existing train station and town centre.
The majority of residential units benefit from generous winter gardens, accessed through the living rooms and occupying part of the balcony space. The floor to ceiling glass panels enclosing the units are mounted on sliding tracks; this flexible system allows for the private amenity space to be used all year round. The glazing will have a noticeable acoustic benefit, blocking noise from the adjacent railway tracks.
