This project forms part of the fourth phase of the London Borough of Southwark’s New Homes Development Programme and is one of a number of sites which we are working on for the Council.
These proposals provide five new homes on a redundant garage site on the corner of Nutcroft Road and Fenham Road, Peckham.
Our design repairs the original street pattern. The form and layout of the new building has been arranged so as to avoid impacting the roots of existing street trees and addresses the flood risk in this location. The location of windows minimizes the impact of overlooking towards neighbouring properties. Decorative elements and details within the brickwork add interest to the façade.
The project received planning approval in December 2020. Speaking to Southwark News, Councillor Leo Pollak, Cabinet Member for Housing said: “I’m delighted that this development has been given the all clear from planning, with works due to start soon. I’m confident the neighbourhood will be proud of these homes, and I look forward to seeing local residents in desperate need of a high quality, secure and properly affordable home moving in.”
